My 20-month-old has taken to biting and pinching me when she’s really angry and wants to make a point. Swats to the legs and snaps on the cheeks seem to leave her unfazed. My left shoulder has a scab from last Sunday when she angrily protested having to leave the playground at church. My right shoulder has a fresh mark from today when I took her from the nursery at church before she was ready to leave. She actually managed to sink in two teeth in today’s episode, amidst leg-kicking and generalized screaming. As I was walking to the car and had the biting stopped, she started pinching me. Another swat. Another admonition not to hurt mommy. Another “Sorry.”
She fell asleep in the car.
What should I do?
Twice bitten in Alabama
Well Twice Bitten, when you figure that out you can let me know why my youngest has been chronically fussy and refuses to use sign language, but last night decided to wave bye to Grandpa and Grandma
