Last week, I lined up baby-sitting for the week and planned to work at Sav-a-Life every day. We were painting, upgrading, etc. I went as planned on Monday & Tuesday, feeling worse by the hour. On Wednesday morning, I could barely hold my eyes open in the bright sunshine as I took Ava to her sitter. SO, I decided I had had enough. I went to the doctor in the afternoon, and he diagnosed me with an upper respiratory infection. So, off I went to get some prego-approved cough medicine & antibiotics. Wednesday evening was even worse, and Ava’s behavior was steadily declining due to the tremendous amount of time she was spending away from me. By Thursday night, I had to promise her that she would stay with mommy on Friday in order to get her to calm down and go to sleep.
The oddest thing is — it’s been a week of antibiotics and I’m still blowing my nose. Thank goodness I went to the doctor, or it would have been a real humdinger!
Moral of the story: Don’t mess with a cold once you get a fever to go with it.

You are pretty brave to post a picture of your toilet! So clean…..!
Yes, well, I was going to just take a picture of the trash can — my trusty husband snapped this before he took the trash out… I really don’t think it’s as grimey under the tank as the picture makes it look . . .
