More Eight . . .

I like Joyce’s, so I’ll do one, too.

8 things that happened yesterday: 

1. Luke slept until 6:30.
2. We made it to church only 5 minutes late.
3. We missed most of worship getting the kids to class — Ava did not cry about going to class. Yay. . .
4. Jason & Lisa came over for lunch.
5. Jake went snake hunting.
6. Lisa & I walked to the park to watch softball and get a hotdog.
7. Jake skinned his copperhead and put it into one of my measuring cups.
8. We went to Abby’s party, after which I fell asleep on the couch at 9:30.

8 favorite places to eat:

1. Maccaroni Grill
2. Chen’s (Yes, it causes the “Chen’s Cleanse,” but I love the mushrooms.)
3. Mom’s
4. Buster’s — Bacon Cheesburger with fried dill pickles on the side. . .
5. Collard Greens or Cabbage from the hospital.
6. Salad at Pizza Hut.
7. Jamocha Shake from Arby’s.
8. As a new (and hungry!) mom, pretty much any food is appealing. . . Especially when it doesn’t involve me cooking it! :)

3. Any show on HGTV
4. How It’s Made
5. College Football (Any team. . . Goes great with folding Saturday’s round of the daily laundry cycle.)

8 things I am looking forward to:

1. Getting new windows in a few weeks.
2. Wearing a sweater.
3. The Grace Fall Yardsale.
4. Jake coming home from work.
5. Seeing my kids play on our new deck. (Oh, yeah, we have to get the deck first. . .)
6. Losing 10 more pounds. (the loss, not the process.)
7. Seeing Jan’s & Rosanna’s sweet baby girls.
8. The Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday season — I love the parties and gatherings. . .

1. New bedding for our bedroom.
2. A happy home for my dog.
3. I wish I knew exactly why my son is screaming.
4. Ava’s fears to be calmed.
5. My fears to be calmed.
6. Sav-a-Life to get an ultrasound machine.
7. A record holiday sales season for my Mary Kay business. . . (Thanks, Gene, for preaching that everyone should not buy much. . .)
8. I wish for an automatic Christmas-Tree-Setter-Upper. (and Taker-Downer)
