This morning my kids were actually doing well — Luke was sleeping for more than 1 hour (as opposed to the 15-20 minute cat-naps he seems to think adequate) and Ava was happily playing in roomtime. After a morning that already started with a screaming fit at breakfast, I couldn’t believe my good fortune.
So I stopped and said, “Thanks, God. You don’t know how much I needed this.” Then, I was struck — of course He knows. That’s exactly why I got it. He knows when our rope is about to break as we’re holding on to the end of it. What comfort!
Funny how I have many times like this too.
